Daniel`s Restaurant in Atascadero

We have eaten there many times and my favorite is the sopes.(not sure of the spelling)They are delicious!

amazing. best Mexican food in town. it's rare to find local food made with love.

After a first visit about six months ago that wasn't great, we decided to give Daniels another try (everyone has their off days). My son and I got cheese enchiladas and the cheese inside wasn't hot in either of ours, but the cheese and sauce on top were piping hot. Super weird. My husband's dish was so unimpressive, he can't even remember what it was. (We went a month ago.) Our server was nice, but she didn't speak English well, so our orders were messed up. She never came back to check on us or for drink refills. Their shrimp salsa dip that they bring you instead of regular chips and salsa isn't very good, plus that's pretty dangerous as it's not obvious that it has shrimp in it until you take a bite. My mom was deathly allergic to shell fish, so they really should reconsider that as their go-to dish.

Very good Mexican food and friendly service. The tortillas served before the meal are homemade, fresh and tasty. You have to really look for the restaurant because it does not face the street.

Very good. They want to please you & for you to enjoy. I like lots of jalapenos. Just let them know what makes you happy. Give them a try. Great for breakfast too.

Taco Tuesday, Went here tonight and waited 1.5 hours for our food. During the wait we asked for more chips. At the end of the meal I got my ticket and found we were charged 9.50 for extra chips and salsa! 6 people only get one small basket of chips? Are you kidding? Also the shrimp cocktail was missing shrimp and the taquitos missing guacamole. Food was good and service nice but slow. Not a good night.

Delicious Mexican Food!! Friendly staff & nice atmosphere. Tuesday & Thursday, $1.25 street tacos....they were YUMMY!

Hidden gem hole in the wall

Food was surprisingly so good for such a cozy restaurant. I was pleasantly suprised how good it was. It felt like plates you get at a bigger restaurant. Love this hidden gem in Atascadero.

Not fancy, good street tacos, good service.

This is a small Mexican restaurant, with excellent food. The shrimp tacos are my favorite. But everything we have had there is so good. Last night we had shrimp empanadas, that might turn in to my new favorite It is a clean place and the server is very friendly. I would suggest trying it once and you will be hooked.

Waited 30 minutes for 6 tacos that were hard for soft tacos. While waiting we saw roaches on the table next to us. Will not go back.
